While you access STAGE TEN through a browser, your computer is doing a lot behind the scenes to create a quality broadcast. To that end, this article explains how to check your computer's audio settings. If your audio settings are above 48KHz, you may experience audio 'crackling' or 'popping' during your broadcast, and/or your destinations may never initialize.

Here's how you check your audio settings, first for PC, then Mac:

How to Check your PC Audio Settings

1) Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound > Manage Audio Devices

2) Select EACH playback device, click properties, and then choose advanced

3) If ANY of your playback devices have a higher than 48000 Hz setting, you need to change the setting to 48000 Hz, and then hit apply.

4) Refresh the STAGE TEN Studio.

5) If this does not resolve your issue, please get in touch with STAGE TEN support.

How to Check your Mac Audio Settings

1) Start “Audio MIDI Setup”. This can be found in your "Applications > Utilities" folder.

2) For all audio output devices, ensure the “Format” is set to "48,000 Hz”.

3) If ANY of your playback devices have a higher than 48000 Hz setting, you need to change the setting to 48000 Hz.

4) Refresh the STAGE TEN Studio.

5) If this does not resolve your issue, please get in touch with STAGE TEN support.
